Manipur Case is unprecedented : Justice DY Chandrachud

On Monday while hearing a case related to the violence happening in Manipur, a bench comprising of Chief Justice Of India DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj MISHRA rejected the contention of an intervenor stating that the issue of Manipur can not be equated with other parts of the country. Justice Chandrachud remarked that the issue of Manipur is of a high intensity and is unprecedented. He however agreed to take cognizance of West Bengal after hearing the Manipur issue.

The intervenor was represented by Advocate Bansuri Swaraj. She wanted the West Bengal case to be taken simultaneously.
