Washington: Preparations are underway for week-long celebrations at temples in the US to commemorate the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 next year, a top official representing these temples has said.
“We are fortunate and god’s blessing that we are a part of this phenomenon. After centuries of waiting and struggle, the Ram temple of our dreams is becoming a reality. Everyone in the US and Canada is emotional about this. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see Lord Ram at the temple”, said Tejal Shah of the Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC).
The Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC) is the apex body of more than 1,100 Hindu temples in the US.
The week-long celebrations at small and big temples in the US will begin on January 15 and will conclude with a live telecast of the inauguration of the Ram temple from Ayodhya, he said.
Shah said thousands of people are eager to watch the inauguration ceremony live.
