Two Brothers Drown While Rescuing Devotee in Bhima River

Kalaburagi – Two brothers tragically lost their lives while attempting to rescue a fellow devotee in the Bhima River near the Dattatreya temple. Balaji (49) and Mahesh (47), residents of Udayagiri, Maharashtra, drowned while trying to save Mohan, who had been struggling in the water.

The incident unfolded when a group of five devotees, visiting the temple, decided to bathe in the river. When Mohan found himself in difficulty, Balaji and Mahesh immediately sprang into action to save him. Unfortunately, their heroic efforts were in vain, and both brothers succumbed to the strong currents. Local residents managed to rescue Mohan.

A case has been filed at the Devalagapur police station, and authorities are conducting further investigations into the tragic incident.
