Easing the public’s fears over the expected lockdown and night curfew in view of rising Covid-19 cases, Chief Minister Yediyurappa on Wednesday said there is no lockdown or curfew in any part of the state, including Bengaluru.

Cm Yediyurappa said that there is no need to panic as the state government is taking all measures to curb the spread of the virus.

After a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, Yediyurappa said, “We have decided to open up 3 Covid Care Centres in Bengaluru to address any eventuality and medical emergency keeping in mind the rising Covid cases.” However, the CM clarified that the health department and the BBMP would decide on the locations of the CCCs.

Yediyurappa further stated that the state government had sought permission from the center to vaccinate apartment complexes, old age homes, and inaccessible terrains across the state.
