According to data from the health ministry, India saw more than 1,500 new cases of Covid, the highest number in 146 days.
The data also showed that 1,590 new Covid infections had been reported, whereas 910 recoveries had been noted over the previous 24 hours. India currently has 8,601 cases open.
Six more fatalities brought the total to 5,30,824; three were reported from Maharashtra and one from each of Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. The weekly optimism was 1.23 percent, while the daily positivity for the same time period was 1.33 percent. The total number of Covid cases in India has increased to 4,47,02,257, and the percentage of active cases is 0.02 percent.
The results revealed that the national Covid recovery rate was 98.79%, with recoveries reaching 4,41,62,832. 1.19 percent was the reported case fatality rate.
The health ministry also reported that 220.65 crore vaccination doses have already been administered.
