Amid the Congress vs BJP Covid protocol war, Gandhis march through Delhi

Rahul Gandhi in his Bharat Jodi Yatra which reached Delhi, reiterated while addressing his party workers and leaders that the yatra’s motive is to open a ‘mohabbat ki dukaan’ (shop of love) in the existing ‘nafrat ka bazaar’ (market of hate)

The Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi was thronged by thousands of people amid calls by the Health Minister to follow Covid protocols.

Along with Rahul Gandhi, several party leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala were seen marching. Mother daughter duo, Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi also joined the yatra.

Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had asked Rahul Gandhi to ensure Covid “protocols” during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Rahul Gandhi responded to this by referring to PM Narendra Modi’s recent poll campaign in Gujarat and the BJP’s “Jan Aakrosh Yatra” in Rajasthan, he said, “The BJP is taking out yatras in various states. But the Health Minister is sending letter only to us.”
