Ex-CM HDK says no point in calling all party meeting on Covid

Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader, H. D. Kumaraswamy has reacted sharply to the government decision of calling all party meeting to discuss on Covid pandemic by stating that it is too late to call of such meeting.

Using his twitter account to react to the government announcement of all party meeting, he said that the government has totally failed in tackling Covid surge in the State, thus no much can be achieved from the meeting.

He alleged that the government failed to provide basic facilities required to check covid-19 spread in second wave.

Government is calling for meeting when everything has gone out of control.
He felt that if the government had take required precautionary steps, the present situation could have been avoided easily.

Stating that vital medicines such as Remdesivir is has gone out of stock, even the vaccines are not available in adequate quantity.

He said that event the Centre has failed in acting at the right time to handle the surge of second wave.

Kumaraswamy said even though the opposition always extended its support to the ruling government in resolving the pandemic but the lapses of the government in providing treatment and stocking the vaccine, what is the use of holding all-party meetings now, he pointed out.
