New Delhi: Breaking all records of Covid cases of the world recorded in a single day, India registered a massive surge of over 3. 14 lakh new cases last 24 hours.
This has added a tally to 1,59,30,965 total Covid cases in the country .
A report from the United States Centers for Disease Control (USCDC) said that his highest number of Covid cases reported anywhere in the world . In the past, America had recorded 3. 13 lakh cases on January 8, this year.
Even in the matter of victims, a new record has been set after 2,104 people died of Covid in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 1,84,657 have lost their lives to this deadly virus.
Among the States, Maharashtra continues to record the highest number of cases with over 67,000 new cases recorded, Uttar Pradesh registered over 33,000 cases , Delhi 24,000 and Karnataka recorded 23,000 cases in a single day.
Amid this, the hospital continues to work under heavy stress and most of the medical staff is working overtime to treat the influx of Covid patients. Oxygen supply has become a major cause of concern for the hospitals. They are demanding adequate supply of oxygen to meet the growing demand.
