PFI banned for 5 years

The government banned the Popular Front of India(PFI) and its sister organisations for 5 years. Recently, the government has arrested more than 200 leaders across India. The Central Government declares PFI (Popular Front of India) and its associates, affiliates, or fronts as an unlawful association with immediate effect and for a period of five years. Sister organisations are Campus Front of India (CFI) and National Women’s Front (NWF).

Under the Unlawful Activities (Prohibition) Act PFI affiliates Rehab India Foundation (RIF), Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), Women’s Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation and Rehab Foundation Kerala is banned.
