CD gate: Home Minister Bommai claims SIT doing its job properly

Kalaburagi: Karnataka Minister for Home Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

probing the alleged sex scandal involving former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, was looking in all angles as per the set criminal procedures and will come out with the truth without buckling to any political pressure.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that ” the SIT investigation was not biased, it has its own norms to function and it is doing its duty.

SIT will have to do in detail all round inquiry systematically. There is a set criminal procedure code for it and accordingly, it has to be done and they are doing it.

No one can intervene in it, so I will not comment on its functioning.”

When asked about the allegation the victim alleging that SIT destroyed the evidence in an effort to turn her from victim to accused, Mr Bommai said, “I will not comment on its functioning since it has its own procedure and we should not interfere”.
