Azaan Controversy: Bajrang Dal and VHP workers sprinkled cow urine on a DC office

Shimoga: The place where Azaan was shouted on the steps of the District Collector’s office was cleaned by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists on Monday by sprinkling cow urine.

Cow urine spraying was done despite resistance from the police. Due to this, an atmosphere of confusion was created in the DC office premises for some time.

The police immediately rushed to the spot and stopped them from spraying cow urine. However, activists from Hindu organizations sprinkled cow urine and shouted slogans.

Communalists chanted “Azaan” to disturb peace. They demanded action against those behind it. They said that the communalists had recited the azaan to disturb the peace.

Bajrang Dal leader Rajesh Gowda said that everyone has the right to protest. But communalism has been demonstrated by saying Azaan in front of the district collector’s office. He said that this is not the place where Azaan is, so the place has been purified.

Last time, BJP MLA Eshwarappa gave a statement about Azaan. This statement has sparked controversy. Some Muslim youths who opposed the statement chanted Azaan near the District Collector’s office. Later, the police arrested the young man and released him after giving him a warning.
