Bengaluru: Boy stabs girl to death in college premises

On Monday, a 19-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by a distant cousin at her college in Bengaluru, Karnataka, as reported by police.

Pawan Kalyan stabbed Layasmitha several times in the corridor of Presidency College, where she was studying BTech. Officials stated Layasmitha’s distant cousin was Pawan Kalyan, a BCA student at Nrupathunga University in Bengaluru.

According to authorities, 21-year-old Pawan entered Layasmitha’s college while dodging security. Pawan attempted to kill himself as well after repeatedly stabbing Layasmitha.

According to officials, Layasmitha was taken to a nearby hospital by the college staff and her friends, where she was immediately pronounced dead. Pawan Kalyan is being treated there.

For the past three to four years, Pawan had been pleading with Layasmitha’s parents to allow him to wed their daughter, but they had always said no. According to Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baldandi, her mother had already issued a warning to him.
