Communal Tension Erupts in Medak: Allegations of Police Inaction as RSS and BJP Workers Attack Muslims

Medak, Telangana: Communal tension flared in Medak Town as RSS and BJP workers reportedly attacked Muslims and their properties, injuring seven Muslim youths.

The incident occurred around 3:00 PM when RSS and BJP workers started creating unrest after discovering oxen at a Madarsa intended for sacrifice.

Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson for MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek), strongly condemned the Medak Police for their inaction, accusing them of being mute spectators and allowing communal elements to attack Muslims and their institutions. Khan criticized the police for not intervening when BJP and RSS workers gathered at the Madarsa and staged a protest.

Amjed Ullah Khan stated, “Since Anumula Revanth Reddy took charge as Chief Minister of Telangana, communal elements have been given a free hand to attack Muslims and damage their properties while the police remain silent.” He questioned why the Medak Police did not immediately arrest the BJP and RSS workers who assembled and protested at the Madarsa.

Amjed Ullah Khan further alleged that the current regime under Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy is witnessing a total law and order failure, with the police failing to act against communal violence.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about communal harmony and the role of law enforcement in maintaining peace in the region. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations and the steps to address the situation.
