Hyderabad: New Case filed against Nupur Sharma in Cyber Crime PS

A case has been registered against BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma and Times Now news channel, under sections 153(A), 504, 505(2) and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), at the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes Police Station.
Complainant Ravinder Kumar filed a complaint against “intentionally insulting Prophet Mohammed by uttering abusive remarks and maliciously insulting the religion of Islam”, the complainant also stated that “she used abusive, false and hurtful words against Prophet Mohammed and religion of Islam and hurt the feelings of Muslims”

This complaint comes days after national BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma used vitriolic and abusive words for Prophet Mohammed in a debate on live TV, hurting the sentiments of Muslims who revere the last Prophet.
This case is in addition to several cases filed against Sharma. Cases were against her in Mumbra, Bhiwandi, Thane and Hyderabad in the past few days.
