Somalia: Suicide bomb attack, 30 soldiers killed

Mogadishu: At least 30 soldiers were killed and many others injured in a suicide bomb attack on an army academy in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, on Monday sources said.

Terrorist organization Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.

A large Al-Qaida-linked group was driven out of southern Somalia last year in a joint military operation by government forces and allied forces. However, the terrorists continued to attack the area. Army operations were stopped here recently. At the same time, Al Shabaab militants attacked.

In a statement, the terrorist organization said that 73 soldiers were killed and 124 were injured in the suicide bombing.
