Two terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu-Kashmir’s Baramulla district

A terrorist was killed on Monday during an encounter with the security forces in Bandipora district of the Union Territory.
The gunfight took place after the security forces launched a search operation in the Aragam area on Sunday night. The search was base on a tip-off about the information on the presence of terrorists there.
Officials also told Press Trust of India that the encounter broke out after terrorists had opened fire on security personnel. The following encounter in Jamm and Kashmir comes a day ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srinagar.

It is reported that the Prime Minister will visit the Union Territory for the first time after taking the oath for the third time in a row as the PM. He will also participate in the celebrations of International Yoga Day in the capital on Friday. The event will take place on the banks of the Dal Lake in Srinagar. It should also be noticed that the Union Territory has been witnessing back-to-back encounters sessions from the past few weeks.
