Bangalore | BMTC to Distribute Student Bus Passes Starting June 1

As directed by the government, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is distributing student passes at free and discounted rates and has started accepting applications online from May 29. From June 1, student passes will be distributed through Bangalore One centers, the release said.

BMTC officials said that applications for bus passes can be downloaded from https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in.

Online application for Student Concession Pass for 2024-25 is available at Sevasindhu Portal https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in. Students are allowed to apply for student pass through Bangalore One centers.

Student passes will be distributed from 8 am to 6.30 pm on all days of the week at Bangalore One centers and Kempegowda Bus Stand of BMTC, Kengeri TTMC, Hoskote, Electronic City Unit-19, Shantinagar TTMC, Anekal Bus Stand of Kararasa Corporation.

Further, under Shakti Yojana free travel facility has been provided to female students of Karnataka state in the general services of the institution. Accordingly, the female students of Karnataka state can get free travel facilities.

Applicants for Student Bus Pass must have permanent residence in the state. The rules mention that the student should be enrolled in graduate, technical, professional, medical, or doctoral courses, among other alternatives.

While applying for a BMTC Student Bus Pass, a passport-size photograph, applicant’s Aadhaar card, residence certificate, income certificate, and mobile number are required.
