To promote education and empower underprivileged students, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched the Medhaavi Engineering Scholarship Program 2023-24. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is set to provide financial assistance to students pursuing undergraduate engineering courses at specific National Institutes of Technology (NITs) across India. The scholarship program aims to encourage these students to pursue higher education, gain self-confidence, achieve independence, and enhance their employability prospects.
Scholarship Details:
Under the Medhaavi Engineering Scholarship Program 2023-24, students who are enrolling in the 1st year of undergraduate engineering courses for the academic year 2023-24 will receive a one-time fixed scholarship of INR 50,000. This financial support will aid them in continuing their higher education and fulfilling their academic aspirations.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolling in the 1st year of undergraduate engineering courses in the academic year 2023-24.
- Institution: They must be enrolled in any of the following 20 NITs across India for the academic year 2023-24:
- NIT Warangal
- MNIT Jaipur
- NIT Trichy
- NIT Calicut
- SVNIT Surat
- VNIT Nagpur
- NIT Kurukshetra
- MNIT Allahabad
- NIT Surathkal
- NIT Jalandhar
- NIT Patna
- NIT Goa
- MANIT Bhopal
- NIT Jamshedpur
- NIT Raipur
- NIT Rourkela
- NIT Durgapur
- NIT Silchar
- NIT Meghalaya
- NIT Agartala
- Academic Performance: Applicants must have scored at least 55% marks in their Class 12 examination.
- Income Limit: The annual family income of the applicants should be less than INR 8 lakh.
- Exclusions: Children of employees of BPCL and Buddy4Study are not eligible for this scholarship. Additionally, students who are already receiving scholarships from other sources are also not eligible.
- Preference: Preference will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates.

Applicants are required to attach the following documents along with their scholarship application:
- Marksheet of Class 12
- A government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar card/Voter ID card/driving license/PAN card, etc.)
- Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate)
- Letter of recommendation from the college authority (duly signed and stamped)
- SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by authorized personnel (if applicable)
- Family income proof (ITR Form-16/income certificate from competent government authority/salary slips)
- Certificate of disability (for students with disabilities)
- Bank account details of the applicant (bank passbook/cancelled cheque)
- Recent passport-size photograph
