CBSE Class 10 Result 2021: 99.04% pass, girls outshine boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of Class 10th Board Exams 2021 on Tuesday. The results have been declared on the official websites cbseresults.nic.in. The board had cancelled all CBSE Class 10 Board Exams this year in view of the pandemic. The result was evaluated students on the basis of internal assessment policy.

Girls have outshined boys with a passing percentage of 99.24%, while the percentage for boys, was recorded at 98.89%. The overall pass percentage is 99.04%.

Nearly 57,824 candidatess have scored above 95 percent, while 2,00,962 students have scored between 90 to 95 percent, according to CBSE data.

The result of 16,639 students, however is still under process. BSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bharwdaj said, “This year, no merit list will be declared and no merit certificates will be issued to students,” PTI reported.

This year, the results are being declared taking into account the performance of the last three years as the boards could not be held in 2021 due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, students who are unsatisfied with the results are permitted to take the physical examination when the situation is conducive.

More than 2.1 million students were scheduled to appear for CBSE Class 10 board exams, official data showed.

The board exams were scheduled to be held in May but were cancelled due to a surge in Covid-19 cases.
