Indian medical graduates can now practice in the US

The National Medical Commission of India has been granted a 10-year accreditation status by the World Federation of Medical Education, so that Indian medical graduates can now do post-graduate training and practice in many countries including the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Ministry of Health of India informed about this and said that all the 706 medical colleges in India will be accredited by the World Federation of Medical Education.

“With this accreditation, 706 existing medical colleges in India will be accredited by the World Federation of Medical Education. New medical colleges to be set up in the next 10 years will also be automatically recognized by the World Federation. This recognition will further enhance the quality of medical education in India by aligning them with global best practices and standards,” said the Ministry of Health.
