My 2 children have cleared UPSC, Allah has blessed me : UPSC Ranker Haris Sumair’s Father

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) have declared the results of civil exams held in 2020. A total of 761 candidates have been cleared the competitive exams for appointment in the bureaucracy of the country.

Out of 761, 25 Muslim candidate have also been appointed for bureaucracy. Md Haris Sumair from Karnataka’s Bidar district has secured the rank 270 in the UPSC.

Talking to The Hindustan Gazette, Haris Sumair’s father Nayeemuddin said that preliminary education plays a very important role in being the foundation of children.

“In my opinion Preliminary education education plays a very important role in being the foundation of children,” he said.

“Even Sumair’s brother Nadeem is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 2019 batch, Kerala-Cadre. Under the guidance of his elder brother, he cracked the competitive exams,” Mr. Naseeruddin said.

23-year-old Sumair is an engineering graduate. After passing out, he immediately started to prepare for the civil services examinations.

Taking up a decision and cracking the UPSC exams is no easy job. One needs to be dedicated and passionate to clear the civils. An individual must atleast have one year preparation to get the most high ranks for the position of IAS, IPS and IFS.

“Sumair even got selected for Intel Company in campus interview selection. But he wanted to go to civil service as his elder brother. So he took a ‘U’ turn and started preparing for this exams. For prelims, he appeared without any preparation and cleared it. And continued to study for one year for the Mains and finally got selected in the UPSC,” Sumair’s father said.

He told Sumair has two calibers that is, he’s always been an intelligent and genius, since childhood. “This is a God gifts, but at the same time, he is a very hardworking, dedicated person and well-disciplined. This made him to achieve this position,” he added.

Sumair was definitely hard working, but there was less time to prepare for the exams. “However, he used to dedicate 15 hours everyday to his studies and finally cracked these examinations.”

“God has blessed me and I’m very thankful to the Almighty. He has showered his blessings upon us and gave me very good children, who are dedicated to the nation. My children used to say ‘Our service is rendered to our Nation’. And they ahve followed the same path, which is shown by their achievement,” Sumair’s father Nayeemuddin said proudly.
