NEET results 2021 soon to be out

On Thursday, the Supreme Court permitted the National Testing Agency (NEET) to declare the results for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). The NEET is the criteria for admission into undergraduate medical courses across the country. The NEET 2021 exam was held on September 12 at over 3800 centers. For the first time, the exam was also held in Dubai and Kuwait.
The Bombay High Court had recently passed an order asking the NEET results to be withheld and conducting a reexamination for two aspirants whose question papers and OMR sheets had got mixed up at a center in Maharashtra as reported by The Times of India.
The bench which comprised of Justice L Nageswara Rao, Sanjiv Khanna, and B R Gavai stayed the High Court judgment and permitted the National Testing Agency to announce the results. The National testing agency was represented by Solicitor Tushar Mehta who gave his submissions to the Bench.
The bench said that the decision regarding the two aspirants whose papers were mixed up will be taken after the court reopens post the Diwali vacations. Meanwhile, the court will issue a notice and file a counter “but we cannot hold the results of 16 lakh students” the bench said.
The results will be declared on the official website- neet.nta.nic.in following which the national and state-level authorities will conduct counseling. 15 percent of the quota of seats is held by the MCC while 85 percent of the seats are filled via state counseling.
