NEET-UG Counselling to start from January 19

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday announced that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-under-graduate (UG) counselling for medical admissions will start from 19 January. Medical aspirants will be able to apply online at mcc.nic.in.

Mandaviya tweeted, “As assured by the Ministry of Health to residential doctors, NEET-PG counselling will be started by Medical Counselling Committee from January 12, 2022, following the order of the Supreme Court.”

Earlier on January 9, the union minister had said that the NEET-PG counselling for medical admissions will begin from 12 January.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which conducts the counselling, has released the complete NEET UG counselling schedule. After taking into account the new EWS, OBC reservation criteria, this year, the NEET UG admissions will be done for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
