Petrol station worker’s son to become a doctor

Shaheen’s support was utilized by Muhammad Mehraj Angadi in cracking NEET.
Bidar: The son of a petrol station worker who took advantage of the free education at Shaheen Pre University Science College has grabbed the attention by cracking the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) in the current year.

Muhammad Mehraj Sofisab Angadi of Hattigodur village in Shahapura taluk of Yadgiri district is a talent who blossomed in poverty.

Muhammad Mehraj secured 97.12% marks in SSLC. Seeing his financial problem of the family and the desire to study, the chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions, Dr. Abdul Qadeer had given free education to the student in Shaheen College for two years with free food and accommodation. Mehraj, who studied hard, is now all set to clear his medical course.

Having scored 568 out of 720 marks in NEET (All India Rank 37,745, Category Rank 16,659), he is almost certain to get a medical seat under the government quota.
Sofisab, who is involved in filling petrol for vehicles at the petrol station, expressed his happiness for his son’s performance in NEET.

“I have three children; eldest son is studying veterinary course in Shimoga, second son Mehraj has now cleared NEET, daughter is studying in PUC second year at Shaheen College”, he said.

Muhammad Mehraj said that due to guidance of Parents, teachers and the help of Shaheen Group of Institutions’ chairman Dr. Abdul Qadeer, he was able to succeed in NEET.

Muhammad Mehraj is a living example that anything can be achieved if there is a will. Shaheen has been providing support and encouragement to poor talented students on a humanitarian basis. Dr Abdul Qadeer says that Mehraj, who has achieved with the help of the institution, is a role model for other students.
