Jyoti Prakash Scholarship and Mentorship Program is an initiative of Buddy4Study India Foundation to support students with disabilities, transgender students, first-generation learners, orphans, single-parent children, and sportspersons to help them cover their educational/sports expenses and enable them to fulfill their dreams.
Under this program, students who are currently studying in Class 9 to 12, graduation, or postgraduation courses; and sportspersons are eligible to apply for a scholarship of up to INR 24,000 to cover their academic/sports expenses.
Moreover, the students will be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available on the Buddy4Study platform. The students will also receive expert mentorship sessions from B4S employees.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship and Mentorship Program for Transgender Students
Eligibility:
Transgender students studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation.
Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 6 lakh.
Open only for Indian citizens.
Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
Benefits:
For Class 9 to 12 students: INR 15,000
For Graduation students: INR 18,000
For Postgraduation students: INR 24,000
Additional benefits:
The students will also be informed about other relevant scholarship programs available for transgender students.
The students will also receive expert mentorship sessions from B4S employees.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship and Mentorship Program for Students with Disabilities
Eligibility:
Students having 40% disability or more.
Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.
Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 6 lakh.
Open only for Indian citizens.
Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible.

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship and Mentorship Program for First-Generation Learners
Eligibility:
Students whose parents are non-graduates and are daily wage earners, drivers, farmers, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, security guards, etc.
Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.
Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 3 lakh.
Open only for Indian citizens.
Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.

For Class 9 to 12 students: INR 15,000
For Graduation students: INR 18,000
For Postgraduation students: INR 24,000

Eligibility:
Students who have lost either or both of their parents.
Applicants must be studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation courses.
Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
For single-parent children, the annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakh whereas for orphans, the annual income of their guardian must be less than INR 3 lakh.

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship and Mentorship Program for Sportspersons
Eligibility:
Sportspersons who have represented at state, national, or international level in the last 3 years.
Applicants must be aged between 14 and 25 years as of July 31, 2023.
Applicants must be involved in sports such as athletics, badminton, chess, cricket, golf, hockey, table tennis, kabaddi, football, volleyball, tennis, boxing, archery, shooting, etc. (NOTE: Click here to view the complete list of eligible sports).
The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 6 lakh.

Children of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
