Shaheen Students Clean Temples, Churches, Mosques In 18 Villages

Students of Shaheen Group of Institutions undertook a cleanliness drive in 18 villages of Bidar taluk, Karnataka as a part of the ‘Swachtheye Seve’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign.

700 students in 20 buses went to the villages and cleaned temples, mosques, churches, hospitals, schools and public places. They also created awareness among the public about personal hygiene, house, road and village cleanliness.
After volunteering, the students handed over the kits which they had bought with their own money for cleanliness to the heads of the respective temples, hospitals and schools.

Chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions Dr Abdul Qadeer says that Shaheen imparts social service education to all the students along with curriculum, as a result, the students of the institution are involved in various social service activities.

Deputy Commissioner of Bidar Govind Reddy appreciated the work of students of Shaheen Group of institutions who undertook cleanliness in 18 villages at their own expense as a part of social service.
The cleanliness drive commenced on 15 September would be carried out till 2 October which is organized by Shaheen Group of Institutions in collaboration with Zilla Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat and Kannada Sahitya Parishad.
