Giving back to society what we receive, gives meaning to the life we live. Shaheen Group of Institutions Chairman, Dr. Abdul Qadeer was warmed when a student returned a favour to the academy, after being placed in a reputed firm.
Shaheen provided Aftab Khan Pashtoni with a scholarship to help complete his Pre University Education. He landed a job at an US based company ‘Knowles Inc’ as an electronic engineer. Pashtoni returned the favour to the academy with a sum of money, in the form of a gift this year.

Talking to THG, Pashtoni who was admitted to Shaheen in the mid of his first PUC after nearly 6-7 months, said, “When I visited I was really impressed by the way classes were conducted there.”
Hailing from Haveri district, Aftab Khan Pashtoni stayed at Shaheen’s residential facility in Bidar district to pursue his education in Science (PCMB). He was also the first batch of the hostel when there were just around 20 students in 2004.
Pashtoni, full of praises for Shaheen said, “The thing about Shaheen which differentiates it from other institutions is their process and schedule of learning that puts students in a flow.”
Based upon his score in 10th that was around 92 per cent and his financial conditions as his father was a baker, Pashtoni was provided with scholarship from Shaheen Institutions.
“It was difficult for him (father) to admit me in a good institution, Qadeer sir took me in without any expenses or college fees, completely free.”
Founder of Shaheen Group of Institutions, Abdul Qadeer is an educationist, a philanthropist and an activist who serves as a source of inspiration for young generation. He has immensely contributed to the educational development of Bidar through Shaheen Group of Institutions.
“Qadeer sir’s commitment behind students is to help achieve their objectives and aims in life. His motivation and encouragement for students is one of the things you won’t find in other colleges. It’s the distinguishing thing that helps student to progress,” he said.
Pashtoni futher added, “When you study at Shaheen you don’t need to go to different tuitions for coaching. Here (Shaheen) they prepare us so good that we don’t need to go to any tutions. It’s a one stop center for all student needs.”
“I recently donated some amount to Shaheen, so that they can help other students education. The way I received help, I wanted others also to benefit from it,” he concluded.
Pashtoni has visited several foreign countries for his projects, including US, Taiwan, China.
