Former CM BS Yeddyurappa, who had stated that the high command has shown favor for an alliance with the JDS and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has agreed to form an alliance, has now denied his statement.
Yeddyurappa, who had come to Delhi to attend the BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting, spoke to the media persons at the Kempegowda Airport on Thursday when he arrived in Bangalore.
“No issue of the state was discussed in the Delhi meeting. There was no discussion about the alliance. In the meeting, only the G20 summit and the success of Chandrayaan were discussed.
“There was no discussion about state politics with the elders. I don’t know what Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have in mind. State BJP leaders have no objection to the alliance. But we have to see what the superiors decide. There is no personal opinion on this. The actual facts will be known after the discussion,” he said.
