Senior Congress leader, Jairam Ramesh tweeted that the Karnataka election results were directly impacted by the Bharat Jodo Yatra, as it united the Congress party and revived its cadres and helped in shaping the narrative of the Karnataka elections.
He said that the many conversations that Rahul Gandhi had on-ground in Karnataka helped them in finalising the guarantees and promises in the election manifesto.
He tweeted, “While this is the direct impact of the #BharatJodoYatra in Karnataka, the intangible impact was uniting the party, reviving the cadre and shaping the narrative for the Karnataka elections. It was during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, from the many conversations @RahulGandhi had with the people of Karnataka, that the Guarantees and the promises in our manifesto were discussed and finalised.”
Congress won the Assembly elections in Karnataka with a clear majority defeating BJP by a wide margin in seats.
