A 13-year-old girl from the village, who studies in class 8 at a local inter college, was on her way to school with her friend and classmate (16) on Saturday morning when they were abducted by four youths – Anas from Majhauwa Tog Shahpur and his friends Shadab from Pipra Adai and two others – who came on two bikes. The four youths abducted the girls and took them to Kubri jungle, where they gang-raped them. When the girls’ families learned about the incident, they started searching for them. They found one girl near Chandradeep Ghat and the other in Kubri jungle. The girls told their families that Shadab and Anas, along with their two friends, had abducted them, taken them to the jungle, and gang-raped them.
SHO Sarvjeet Gupta said that a case of gang-rape has been registered and Shadab and Anas have been arrested. A search is on for the other two accused.”
