‘I disagree with party strategy, means of policy implantation which is more like a corporate than a political party’:Taslem Rehmani submits his resignation as SDPI National secretary

SDPI National Secretary Tasleem Rehmani has on Monday announced his resignation from the party’s postion, quoting that he disagrees with party strategy and means of policy implantation which is more like a corporate then a political party.

In his resignation letter to SDPI National President Mr M K Faizi, Rehmani said, “With due respect I submit my resignation form all party positions including Primary Membership of the party.”

Although, he said that he agrees on political ideology of the party and appreciate its dedicated and committed cadre, “I humbly disagree with party strategy and means of policy implantation which is more like a corporation than a political party.”

The Social Democratic Party of India founded on 21 June 2009 at New Delhi is the political outfit of the Islamic organisation Popular Front of India.

Rehmani said he has tried and argued several times to change “Such polices to adopt a political culture and behaviour to achieve results and approach the general public in an open and fast manner.”

However, the party could neither create a mass appeal in its favour nor could devise a favourable electoral policy, nor could encourage party faces to attract public and media attention, he said.

“Such a fearful apprehensive approach may only consume valuable time and community resources without achieving the desired outcome which at least I can not afford,” Rehmani said.

“Hence I find myself failed to serve party and marginalised masses who look towards us with hope,” the SDPI national secretary concluded in his resignation.
