There is no place for Muslim leaders in Samajwadi Party even on stage, I want to tell those leaders to join Majlis’: Asaduddin Owaisi

Targeting the Samajwadi Party at well-attended rally in Saharanpur, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that there is no place for Muslim leaders in SP even on stage and urged those leaders to join the Majlis.

Owaisi claimed that at a rally of SP leader Akhilesh Yadav in Saharanpur rally no Muslim leader was given the privilege to sit on the stage. “I want to tell those leaders that join the Majlis, I will make you sit on my shoulder,” the AIMIM chief said.

“Those muslim politicians were sitting on a cot, far across in the field. Akhilesh Yadav comes to Saharanpur and his politicians sit in the field under the tree, that when Bhaiya ji (Akhilesh Yadav) goes they’ll stop him on the way and say namaste to him,”

“Tomorrow Samajwadi party leaders will say that yes we made Muslims leader sit on the stage,” he said refering to a Muslim candidate in Azamgarh, who was made to sit on stool. “Yes they made a Muslim sit on a stage, but on a stool, while the rest were made to sit on a sofa,” Owaisi added.

Owaisi claimed, “There is no place for Muslim leaders in Samajwadi Party even on stage. I want to tell those leaders to join the Majlis (AIMIM), I will make you sit on my shoulder. I will carry you by myself. You come stand on my shoulders, my arms. I’ll lie down my life for you and if my body is useful for you then use it,” he said at a rally in Saharanpur.

Earlier in June, the AIMIM chief had announced that his party would contest in 100 seats of the total 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh polls. He had also called upon all like minded parties to come together to stop the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party, who had won a landslide 312 seats in the 2017 assembly polls in the state.
