Water Crisis in Delhi: DJB office vandalized, 3 injured in clash

Water crisis in Delhi has stirred outpour and sparked protests and vandalism, across the capital. One of the recent clashes broke out when a group of individuals vandalized the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) office in Chhatarpur, reported ANI.

The video footage has been shared by ANI. The video shows shattered window pane and broken earthen pots at the DJB office. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) shared another video of the incident alleging the chaos was created by the BJP men. One man was seen wearing the BJP’s scarf in the video. Taking to social media platform ‘X’ (former known as Twitter) AAP wrote, “See how BJP workers are breaking the office of Delhi Jal Board while shouting slogans of ‘BJP Zindabad’.” “On one hand, the BJP government of Haryana is withholding Delhi’s rightful share of water, while on the other hand, the BJP is damaging the property of the people of Delhi,” the party added.

In reply, Ramesh Bhadhuri, a BJP leader accepted that the ruckus was created by BJP men only. He wrote on X, “It is natural. The people can do anything when they are angry. I am grateful to BJP workers who controlled those people…It is the government’s and people’s property. There is no benefit in damaging this property.”
