Delhi HC refuses to stay movie being made on life of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court rejected the plea filed to give a stay on the forthcoming movie ‘ Nyay’ which is said to be based on the life of deceased bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput.

Refusing to give any stay on using the picture of details of the life of the actor being taken in the film, Justice, Sanjeev Narula did not grant any relief to the petitioner.

It may be noted that the petition was filed that by Krishna Kishore Singh, the father of the actor. He had objection for the film and had filed plea against the making of the film on the life of his late son.

In his plea, he had said that the film makers would use the name of his son to make film which could harm the reputation of his son. He even had demanded Rs. 2 crore from the film makers for allegedly causing mental harassment to the family.

Senior advocate, Vikas Singh who was representing Kishor Singh, appeared in the court and made strong objection to making of film on Sushant.

Though the court refused to grant a stay, however it directed the defendants to submit all details of royalty, licensing, pro licensing, profits made from the movies to the Joint Registrar.
