Himachal Pradesh: Kangana Ranaut Met with Black Flag Protest

Actor Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate for Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, was flagged off by local people and Congress workers at Kaja in Lahaul and Spiti. The Himachal Pradesh BJP has alleged that stones were pelted on the actress’s vehicle.

Congress workers raised slogans against Kangana saying “Kangana, go back, Kangana Wangana Nahim Chalegi” (Kangana go back, Kangana Wangana is not happening here).

Locals were particularly outraged by Kangana’s comments about the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in April last year.

Jai Ram Thakur, Leader of the Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, along with Ranawat had gone to Kaza to campaign for the BJP.

The BJP alleged that the Congress workers tried to disrupt the BJP meeting and pelted stones at the vehicles.
