Oscars honours Laal Singh Chaddha Movie

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha has been featured on the Oscars official page. The movie is Forrest Gump’s official Hindi adaptation.

Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan, was ultimately released on August 11 after a long wait. It is the official Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. The Oscars’ official Twitter account expressed their support for the movie. The Academy’s social media accounts posted a video demonstrating how the Indian remake captured the charm of the Oscar-winning original.

It was captioned, “Robert Zemeckis and Eric Roth’s sweeping story of a man who changes the world with simple kindness receives an Indian adaptation in Advait Chandan and Atul Kulkarni’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ starring Aamir Khan in the title role made famous by Tom Hanks. 1994’s ‘Forrest Gump’ was nominated for 13 Oscars including six wins for Best Actor, Directing, Film Editing, Best Picture, Visual Effects and Adapted Screenplay.”
