While the BJP Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra was held in Gundlupet, Karnataka Minister and BJP leader K S Eshwarappa made a controversial remark at an event in Gundlupet, claiming that masjids were built in Mathura and Kashi after demolishing temples.
He also said ‘Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister again in 2024, and those masjids will also be destroyed on the lines of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya and temples will be rebuilt there too.
Eshwarappa said the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya meant erasing a ”mark of slavery”.
