Prison inmates are said to be in touch with suspects involved in terror plots. Against this background, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted investigations in various areas of seven states.
Since morning, attacks have been going on in other states including Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu. The NIA officials have inspected Parappa’s Agrahara at 8 pm on March 4. They investigated till 6 am and questioned many people including Naseer.
On January 12 this year, the National Investigation Agency filed a chargesheet against eight persons, including a life convict and two absconders, in the Bangalore Lashkar-e-Taiba jail radicalization and ‘fidayeen’ attack plot.
Among the charge-sheeted accused is T Naseer of Kannur district in Kerala who is serving a life sentence in Bengaluru Central Jail since 2013, while Junaid Ahmed alias JD and Salman Khan are suspected to have absconded abroad.
The rest were identified as Syed Suhail Khan alias Suhail, Mohammad Umar alias Umar, Zahid Tabrez alias Zahid, Syed Mudasir Pasha and Mohammad Faisal Rabbani alias Sadat.
