Chandrayaan-3: India’s Chandrayaan spacecraft made the final orbit of the Moon

Bengaluru: India’s ambitious Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft successfully entered the fifth and final orbit of the moon on Wednesday. Thereby getting even closer to the surface of the Moon.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said that the final orbit of the Moon (153km x 163 km) has been completed.

Now it’s time to separate the propulsion module (aircraft carrier) from the lander module. It has been informed that the date has been fixed on August 17.

Chandrayaan -3 was launched on July 14 and entered lunar orbit on August 5. After that, it reached the surface of the moon through three consecutive orbits (August 6, 9, and 14).

The lander is planned to land safely on the lunar surface by soft landing on August 23.
