‘Cops Forcing Me…’: Thane influencer puts shocking allegations, demanding charge ‘Attempt To Murder’ against bureaucrat’s son

Days after a social media influencer was hospitalised after sustaining some serious injuries which was allegedly done by her boyfriend, Ashwajit Gaikwad, who happens to be a big bureaucrat’s son. The victim, Priya Singh has alleged has alleged that the police is putting pressure on to sign on some papers. However, the 26-year-old refused to sign any of the papers as her lawyer was not present at the scene.

Priya Singh was was allegedly assaulted, bitten and then run over by a car near a hotel in Thane by her boyfriend for unknown reasons. Priya’s social media claiming these allegations took the notice of many people across Maharashtra, which prompted the state police to form a SIT for a thorough investigation. While the influencer has demanded that her boyfriend who is the accused in this case, Ashwajit Gaikwad should be booked under the attempt to murder charge (section 307 of the Indian Penal Code).
“They (police) were trying to force me to sign something. I refused. Because I did not have a lawyer. Neither did anyone from my family. They were forcing me, saying that whatever will happen tomorrow, sign now,” she stated. The model also alleged that the police officials were trying to make it look like an accident case.

“They were proving it (incident) an accident. I had an argument with a lady constable as she was saying it was an accident. I am not happy with the police. I am not satisfied. I have great faith in the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. I just want justice. Please don’t make any false allegations against me as it has started to affect me mentally,” she added.

The incident took place on December 11 and Priya is undergoing treatment for the multiple injuries she has suffered which also includes a broken right leg. Gaikwad along with his friends are the accused as his friends helped him in the plan. The other accused are Romil Patil who was in the car during the time of the incident and driver Sagar Shelke. All the other accused have been arrested.
