New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the Centre and Delhi government to respond to a plea seeking direction to upload daily court orders within a prescribed time limit.
A bench of Chief Justice and Justice Jasmeet Singh issued notice to the central and state governments on the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Sanser Pal Singh asking appropriate action on publishing daily court orders on time.
The issue of non-uploading of daily orders concerns the justice delivery system and the interest of the public at large, the plea contended.
It said that lawyers and litigants are aggrieved due to non-uploading of order sheets on online portal/website of courts and therefore they have to inspect court files to read the orders which consume a lot of time of advocates as well as of the courts and court staff, papers and court fee also.
The bench listed the matter and will hear it on April 30.
