Enforcement Directorate raids Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Secretary, MP

The Enforcement Directorate raided the premises of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary, who also happens to be a Rajya Sabha MP.

The ED also searched the premises of several other AAP on the early hours of Tuesday morning in relation with a money laundering probe, which was linked to the alleged irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board, said sources.

According to sources, it was the central agency, that conducted searches at total 12 premises across the cities of Delhi, Varanasi and Chandigarh. The search came just hours before a press conference conducted by the AAP party in which the party had claimed it will make “explosive expose” on the agency. The Delhi Minister Atishi alleged that the raids were carried out in such a manner to “scare” her party. She had also allegedly accused the ED of intimidating the people to make them say false statements. “We are not afraid. Not even one rupee has been recovered. No evidence has been found yet. The ED is trying to build the case by turning accused into government witness,” she said.

The people, who were among the ones whose premises were searched were personal secretary of Mr Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta and former DJB member Shalabh Kumar, sources added.
