Bengaluru: Special CBI court on Saturday sanctioned conditional bail to the former Karnataka Minister R Roshan Baig in the multi–crore IMA ponzi scam.
Baig through his counsel moved the court for the bail on health grounds.
Granting the bail, the court directed Baig not to leave the city without prior permission from the Court, surrender his Passport, mark his presence before the authorities on the Second and 4th Monday of every month and cooperate with the CBI in its investigation.
Baig was arrested by the CBI on Sunday, November 22.
The IMA Managing Director Mansoor Khan, who is currently in Judicial custody, during questioning, had stated that he had given Rs 400 crore to Baig.
Baig lawyer Shashikiran Shetty argued that CBI has completed their questioning and his client has cooperated and will appear before the investigating officers called.
