Hate speech: JIH demands action against Baba Ramdev

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Rajasthan demanded action against Baba Ramdev for his comments on Muslims and Christians. Baba Ramdev recently made controversial statements during an event, accusing Muslims of terrorism and abducting Hindu girls.

National Vice-President, JIH, Prof Mohammed Salim Engineer, described Ramdev’s statements as “unfortunate, disappointing, irresponsible and below the dignity of a religious leader”. Prof. Salim also demanded legal action against Ramdev.

JIH Rajasthan state chief, Mr. Md. Nizamuddin demanded that Baba Ramdev be booked for his remarks. He further pointed out that people considered as sant or dharmguru are spitting venom against Muslim and other minorities of India causing communal hatred in the country. He stated that this weakens the secular fabric of the country and urged Ramdev to give up his communal mindset.
