In a shocking incident in Maharashtra’s Anwa village, an Imam of a mosque was brutally beaten and his beard was cut of for refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Unidentified individuals entered the mosque and beat Mr. Zakir Sayyed Khaja. A chemical-laced cloth was used to make him unconscious, he realized that his beard had been cut off when he gained consciousness.
The attendees of the mosque found him unconscious around 8 pm and rushed him to a nearby hospital.
The incident occurred on Sunday at around 7:30 PM when Mr. Khaja was sitting inside a mosque reading the Quran.
