In a recent news report, Altaf Ali, a 23-year-old electrician from Nizamabad, Telangana, has been missing for the past seven years while working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father, Shaik Ashmath Ali, has made an appeal to the Minister for External Affairs (EAM) to assist in locating his son.
Altaf Ali had traveled to Riyadh in June 2016 to work as a house electrician for Massad Saad Zahrani Al Maqawalat. However, he has not been heard from or seen since then. Concerned about his son’s well-being, Shaik Ashmath Ali approached Mohammed Zaheer Uddin Khan, the President of MPJ, and Anwar Ali, a member of MPJ, for help.
During Amjed Ullah Khan’s #Praja_Darbar at Darul Aman Chanchalguda, Shaik Ashmath Ali and the MPJ representatives met with Mr. Khan, who is the spokesman for the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT). They requested his assistance in locating Altaf Ali. Mr. Khan then brought this matter to the attention of Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the Minister for External Affairs, and the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
Following this, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh has responded to the issue and assured that they will do everything possible to locate Altaf Ali as soon as possible. It remains to be seen what further steps will be taken to address the concerns of the missing electrician’s family and find him safely.
