Jamshedpur’s biggest Sakchi Jama Masjid decided to postpone the Taraweeh prayers today i.e on 31st due to the Ram Navami procession, which was announced after the Friday prayer.
Jamshedpur’s social worker Kashif Raza Siddiqui said that the Sakchi Jama Masjid is the biggest and main mosque of the city, people from far-flung areas of the city come here to pray Taraweeh.
As the Shobha Yatra of Ramnavmi is also going to start, this decision has been taken keeping in mind that no one should face any problem. From tomorrow, Taraweeh prayers will be held again like normal days.
This decision comes after the various parts of India witnessed violence against Muslims during the Shobha Yatra of Ramnavmi on 30th March. Anti-Muslim slogans were raised, vehicles and Muslim owned-shops were torched.
