Man arrested for booking cab under Lawrence Bishnoi’s name and sending it to Salman Khan’s residence

A Ghaziabad resident has been arrested for allegedly booking a cab in the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and sending it to Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra area here, police said on Friday.

Accused Rohit Tyagi has been arrested by the police from his hometown. An official said that the accused said that he did it as a joke.

On Wednesday, Rohit Tyagi booked a cab online to travel from Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartment to Bandra Police Station. When the cab driver reached the address, he realized it was a prank and lodged a complaint.

Taking the incident seriously, the Bandra police registered a case and traced Tyagi.

Last Sunday, Salman Khan was shot at his residence on a motorbike. After the incident, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack in an online post. He has also given a warning to the Bollywood actor.

According to police sources, the two who fired at Salman Khan’s residence are part of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Bishnoi is currently in Tihar Jail, involved in several high-profile murder cases, including that of singer Sidhu Mooswala and Rajput leader and Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
