Mangaluru: Self-respect book award to six people including Fatima Ralia

Bangalore’s Karnataka Forum has awarded the Swabhimani Book Award 2023 to six people, including young writer Fatima Ralia.

Dr. C. Somasekhar and two people have been selected for the Sarvamangala Endowment Award. The award ceremony will be held on May 31 in Bangalore.

Dr. HSM Prakash’s translated book ‘Nammanta Ballidaravaru’, Prof.HT Pote’s travelogue ‘Baba Saheba’s London House’, Fatima Ralia’s story collection ‘Odeyalada Odapu’ and Santhosh Nayka’s New Address Footsteps Works selected for Poetry Collection Award.

Indira Krishnappa’s biography ‘Savitri Bapule’ and ‘Gavi Marga’ prose collection by Dr. MS Mani received Dr. C. Somashekhar and Sarvamangala Endowment Awards.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and an award certificate. HL Pushpa, President of Karnataka Women Writers Association, writers Dwarnakunte Patanna, and Dr. Satyamangala Mahadeva were the judges.
