Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram were stalled from around 6 PM on Monday. Due to the outage, Facebook lost around 52000 crores.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg apologized to users through Twitter. This is the longest outage in the History of Facebook. Earlier in 2008 Facebook was hit by a virus.
Nearly after 6 hours of shutdown facebook came back online in the early hours of Tuesday.
